🕰️ Our Origins

The Bharatiya Railway Mallgodam Shramik Sangh (BRMGSS) was established in the year 1998. It emerged from the urgent need to unite and protect the railway warehouse (mallgodam) workers who handle the massive logistics of Indian Railways across the country.

For decades, these hard-working laborers formed the backbone of India's railway freight operations, yet they lacked formal recognition, job security, and basic welfare facilities. The formation of BRMGSS marked a historic turning point, bringing thousands of workers under one unified umbrella to collectively voice their demands for dignity, fair wages, and governmentalization of their labor.

📈 Growth and Expansion

From a humble beginning in 1998, BRMGSS has grown exponentially. Today, we are proud to be the largest and most active official union representing railway warehouse workers in India. Our membership spans across multiple states, divisions, and local goods sheds, bringing together workers from all communities and backgrounds.

Over the years, we have successfully organized peaceful assemblies, submitted memorandums to the Railway Board, and held continuous dialogues with the Ministry of Labour and Employment to ensure the implementation of fair labor practices.
